We here at Old Bay are very flexible. It is your trip to tailor how you want to. There are no shared trips, or
set departure and arrival times. Obviously if you want to fish some times are better than others, and if you want a sunset
cruise then the schedule will obviously be less flexible.
The boat is
at the mouth of the South River, about 5 miles south of Annapolis. Thomas Point Lighthouse is a 20 minute ride. The beautiful
South River is a quick right turn from the dock. There is abundant wildlife to see, with ospreys, ducks, geese, swans, herons,
egrets, and all other sorts of animals that call the Chesapeake Bay home. A standard cruise is out the South River,
around Thomas Point Lighthouse, to the Severn River and downtown Annapolis and the US Naval Academy and return. This takes
about 3 hours. If its a bit rough we just go the inland route up the river and look at the beautiful scenery, and mansions
lining the waterway.
No cruise is complete without drinks with umbrellas and good food.
The option is yours. Bring your own and save some money or cater any way you like. I have worked with several caterers and
can steer you the right direction. At times we have hired bartenders also. So whether you want to set up a table and
bust some crabs on deck, grab beers from a cooler, or have appetizers served to you, it can be arranged.
